SUMMARY:
Develops and maintains the company's websites. Designs and constructs web pages/sites including the integration of graphic user interface (GUI) features and other elements. Performs backups and ensures user accessibility to the site. Monitors server performance, site traffic, and site capacity to meet traffic demand performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Half of this job is the sexy part - leading site redesign programming and some heavy lifting with new, complex user applications. The other half will be daily, mundane updates to websites (text, products, etc.). Here are more details:

• Writes, troubleshoots, debugs and implements software code.
• Manages and maintains ecommerce open-source application (OScommerce) and databases.
• Updates all website content.
• Implements the ongoing development and improvement of the company's websites.
• Performs day-to-day site maintenance
• Follows company standards for design/usability.
• Performs navigation and browser compatibility.
• Provides Internet Marketing Director with regular status updates.

REQUIREMENTS:
• A minimum of 3+ years experience in PHP programming.
• Experience with ecommerce and marketing websites a definite plus. A bigger plus is specific experience with OScommerce.
• A user-centered info design mindset.
• Advanced knowledge in the use of relevant web tools, technologies, and standards-compliant development: maintainable, hand-code level expertise required as well as WYSIWYG editors, PHP, HTML, MySQL, Flash, FTP, CSS, XML, XHTML, DHTML, SSI, Macromedia Suite, JavaScript, AJAX.
• Working knowledge of database design and SQL standards.
• Proficiency in the following is not required, but is a plus: SQL, 508, RSS, APIs, SEO.
• Convert a Photoshop file into a working, optimized website.
• Solid dependability and a proven track record we can verify.
• Experience with Windows XP and MS Office.
• Strong project management and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Developed organized workflow skills.
• Eager attention to detail and ability to work under deadline.
• Demonstrated professional attitude, ability to learn & thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking, collaborative environment.
