Sr. Software Engineer – PHP, ASP.NET, E-Commerce Leader

DESCRIPTION: Well-established company that is growing internationally as a leader in their market niche. Their unique web-based service has attracted business from some of the world’s largest corporations and distributors. This exponential growth has created the need for a new Sr. Web Developer, who will create unique interactive web sites using PHP, XML, with SQL Server backend. In the past year, my client has implemented a data warehouse to provide business intelligence for strategic planning by executives. The next major technology migration will be into the .NET direction.

This key Senior Software Web Developer will focus on several exciting projects:

• Design and develop software to automatically take transactions from multiple customer web portals and integrate the data into a central database to expedite billing and order fulfillment. You will be the main interface with their clients’ Web Masters to integrate the two sides. Target date is the end of 2007.

• Design and develop automation that will take customer graphic designs to speed up order fulfillment through digital solutions. Target date 2008.
• One major challenge will be, not only creating new web portals for customers, but rebuilding existing ones to be more user friendly. Also, you will create unique interactive web sites as new corporate customers join their existing 19,000 clients and 1,000 distributors.
• You will also get involved in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and content analysis.
• If you like thinking “out of the box” and developing unique interactive web sites (design, content, layout, e-commerce and implementation), this is the spot for you! This is a fast-paced and dynamic environment with constant deadlines. (this is not a sweat shop)

  QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of software experience with the whole development life cycle
• Minimum of 3 years focused on interactive web development with PHP, SQL, XML, Perl, HTML, JavaScript, Flash.
• Must be proficient in PHP with good software development practices (SDLC).
• Must have solid grounding in SQL Server database structure
• Must have experience with good software development practices.
• Interest in working in a fast paced highly graphical web environment.
• Ability to communicate with Web Masters at client companies.
• Ability to be accountable and productive when empowered to complete a project with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to demonstrate web sites that you have personally developed, including design, content management, and e-commerce functions.
• Plusses would be: .NET and SEO familiarity
