Achieve Internet is a well-established Web development firm specializing in high profile, media industry clients across the US and Europe. Our client's include Univision, Lime and Lifetimetv. We're looking for motivated, expert developers with advanced PHP experience skills who want to be challenged, respected and part of a great team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working with web related code, concepts and project planning. Many of our larger sites use the Drupal framework, so knowledge of Drupal is a big plus however not required. Additional programming experience (Perl, ASP.net, Java, C++, ASP etc.) is helpful. Experience with large-scale system or network administrations especially in multi-server hosting environments would also be a big plus.
We assume you're a great programmer with a track record of completing projects on time and generally exceeding expectations. However, the web is our medium and significant experience working with XHTML, HTML, JavaScript and CSS is a must. In addition, our developers collaborate with our Project Management team to build requirements documents, estimates and specifications for client projects.
The position is full-time with healthcare benefits, vacation time and a retirement plan. All of our developers have high-end Windows, Linux or Mac workstations with dual monitor setup. Achieve Internet is only interested in individuals that are available to work in our San Diego, Los Angeles, Boston or Dallas /Fort Worth facilities during normal working hours.
Desired skills:
* PHP and MySQL experience required (preferably PHP 5 and MySQL 5)
* Working knowledge and experience with Drupal strongly preferred (interest and ability to learn Drupal API and participate in the Drupal community required)
* Unix/Linux, Apache, server administration knowledge a plus
* Knowledge of AJAX, JavaScript, XML a plus
* Experience creating client documentation (requirements, scope of work, etc.)
* Superior written and verbal communication skills
* Client relations skills
* The ability to finish a project 100% to customer satisfaction
Responsibilities:
* Custom PHP/MySQL coding (e.g., Drupal modules and custom db queries)
* Website architecture planning
* Work with Project Manager to create Scope of Work, requirements analysis, etc. for client projects by providing technical details and estimates.
* Code review
* Installation and configuration of Drupal-powered websites
* Patch existing modules for additional functionality
* Security updates
* Client contact throughout development process
* Work closely with the rest of our development team
